Datuk Noor Azian was appointed to the Board as an independent non-executive director on 4 October 2016.
After graduation, Datuk Noor Azian joined the Malaysian Judicial and Legal Service and served for over 30 years until her retirement in July 2004. During her tenure with Malaysian Judicial and Legal Service, she held various positions, including as Magistrate, Kuala Lumpur, President of Sessions Court, Senior Assistant Registrar, Departmental Solicitor in Public Trustee Department, Legal Adviser in Pensions Department, Deputy Registrar, High Court Malaya, Deputy Parliamentary Draftsman, Sessions Court Judge, Treasury Solicitor, Official Assignee Malaysia, Deputy Head of Civil Litigation in Attorney General’s Chambers, Chairman of the Special Commissioners for Income Tax and Chairman of Tribunal for Consumer Claims. Datuk Noor Azian is also an Advocate and Solicitor, High Court Malaya.
After her retirement from the Malaysian Judicial and Legal Service, she was appointed as a Judge of the High Court of Malaya and she presided over cases in the Commercial, Civil and Criminal divisions. She retired from her position as High Court Judge of Malaya in July 2014.
Presently, Datuk Noor Azian is an Independent Non-Executive Director of Deleum Berhad. She is also a Registered Arbitrator with the Kuala Lumpur Regional Centre for Arbitration.
She is a Barrister-At-Law, having been admitted to the English Bar (Lincoln’s Inn, London) in May 1971.
