Affin Hwang Capital’s Group Managing Director to retire after more than a decade with the Bank

·       Affin Hwang Capital announced that Datuk Maimoonah Hussain will be retiring as Group Managing Director after more than a decade with the Bank, effective 3 November 2019.

·       Datuk Maimoonah Hussain spent 12 years with the Bank; 7 years with Affin Investment Bank Berhad and 5 years with Affin Hwang Capital.

·       Under her leadership, Affin Hwang Capital, comprising the investment bank and asset management group of companies continued to generate positive results and garnered market recognitions amidst a challenging and volatile year for the capital markets.

Kuala Lumpur, November 1 – Affin Hwang Capital announced today, that Datuk Maimoonah Hussain, the Bank’s Group Managing Director, will be retiring effective 3 November 2019.

Datuk Maimoonah has served the Bank for 12 years; 7 years as Managing Director of Affin Investment Bank Berhad and 5 years as Group Managing Director of Affin Hwang Capital, since the successful completion of the merger between Affin Investment Bank Berhad and HwangDBS Investment Bank Berhad in November 2014. She was the pivotal figurehead of the complex merger process and the Bank's success today is a testament to her leadership.
